Our Cashew Plantation

by Jade on January 24, 2012

Our cashew plantation is looking good. Our plants are growing well and some trees are already bearing some fruit. I think next year we will be in business and hopefully we can become one of the top supplier of cashew nuts in the Philippines in the future.

Twin Cashews From Kollam Kerala                                                       This is how cashew fruits and nuts look like when it’s ready to be harvested.

Cashew nuts are very popular snack but there are many uses for cashew like the cashew apple (fruit) when mashed can be turned into wine. And the young leaves can be used in salads as well.

I am sure it would be lots of fun to experiment :) I’ll keep you posted.

If your child is approaching driving age, you might be concerned about allowing them to drive before they are ready. Your child is most likely itching to get behind the wheel on their birthday, but is it worth it? There are certainly pros and cons to making your child to wait driving little longer. The decisions you make now could alter your child’s future for the better or the worse.

Emotional Maturity

Teenagers aren’t the most stable group mentally. They are more likely to take risks and make poor decisions when on the road. This can lead to more expenses in car repairs and insurance costs. If your teen is not showing that he can respect the road and understand that driving is a privilege and not a right, it could be good to make them wait.

Insurance

Are you willing to put your child on your insurance policy? Teen drivers are often the most expensive to insure, because they are the highest risk group of getting into an accident. You will be responsible for your child’s traffic mistakes and insurance claims. Even if your insurance company realizes that you are a good driver, your auto insurance rates could go up if your child is causing mayhem.

Experience

Teenagers don’t have a lot of experience behind the wheel, but this can be remedied with practice. Some states make drivers log a certain amount of driving hours before taking a road test. If your child has more experience behind the wheel, it can make it easier for them to learn to respect the road. They should practice in winter weather, on the expressway during rush hour, or during other tricky situations under your supervision, so you can teach them how to handle it.

What Kind of Car Does Your Child Want

Think very carefully before giving your kid the car keys. If you have a newer car, it might not be worth the risk of getting it wrecked. If your child is going to drive, they should be required to help pay for the insurance. Requiring them to contribute will help make them more responsible. They may even get a job to pay the bills, which will teach them more responsibility.

Should your child drive right away or wait? Each child is different, but they all need to display responsible driving habits and emotional maturity on the road.

Your child is most likely itching to get behind the wheel on their birthday, but is it worth it?
