After living for 3 and half years in a very big city ( Singapore ) we are now living for the last 3 months in a very small village. Sometimes I miss being in a big city where I can buy whatever I need and whatever comes to my mind may it be fabric or even a barcode scanner… not that I need the latter.
In Palawan, if want to find something, you have to ask around and hope that they give you the right name of the store or directions to where to buy. And when you finally find the shop, they either don’t understand what you want or they tell you IT’S OUT OF STOCK! in 9 out of 10 cases.
If it gets too much, we drive 2 hours drive away from where we live to a big city to buy what we want.
Isn’t it a wonderful shopping experience?? Hehehe Well, kidding aside we do still love it here and we have no regrets moving here.
