I have been wanting to try it since it came out in Singapore but I haven’t have the guts yet. I was wondering if it way safe, hygienically speaking.

What if the person before me had eczema or something. I have some acquaintances who have done it and swears it is something I should really try. So I read a bit about it and I am now convinced. I now know that it is safe as the fishes only consumes the dead areas of the skin and it leaves the healthy skin to grow. I hope to try it this weekend for my birthday.

Last weekend was a busy one for us. My mom and my brother’s friend are leaving on Monday so we showed them around Singapore and they were lucky to be here in time for the Thaipusam Festival.  I knew they would enjoy witnessing this event.

I love the Indian culture – the food the clothes and the festivals are just amazing!

Last year I witnessed for the first time Thaipusam - an Indian celebration, in honor of Lord Subrahmanya who represents virtue, youth and power and is the destroyer of evil. A few days before the procession itself, there will be stalls on Serangoon Road.

This event is really something, a very fascinating festival to watch but not for people with weak stomach. We might go and watch it this weekend again  as we have some visitors…I think it will make an impression on them. If you are also in Singapore, and would like to see it, check the details below:

Giant colorful flower

Yesterday, we went to Vivo City Mall for some strolling and to have lunch as well. We like going to this mall because the atmosphere here is very laid back. Outside of the mall you will find interesting features like the art you see above.

During weekends if you are lucky you will see these young people giving away free coke , no questions asked nor any strings attached.

And you thought there’s nothing free anymore in this world:)

The first picture was taken at the Chinese Garden here in Singapore. Chinese Garden is one place you should definitely visit when you are in Singapore. The entrance is free and it is also very accessible as there is an MRT stop on this very location.

Another place you definitely must see is the The Southern Most Point of Central Asia which you can find in Sentosa Island. The entrance fee to Sentosa island is $2 only for the whole day. You only pay if you wanna visit the attractions inside the island.

There are so many places you can see here in Singapore without burning a hole in your pocket!

Well I didn’t really walk the catwalk if that’s what you were thinking…LOL!

But it’s my first time to see a fashion show in real life and it was extra exciting as it was also the Longest Catwalk in Singapore running with 163m running in and out. I am glad I had the chance to see this as this is the first in Singapore.

It was amazing to see all these models, the beautiful designer clothes they were wearing like Banana Republic, Coach, Blackgold, DKNY, Gap, Jimmy Choo and some of the shoes they were wearing are sky high girls! I wouldn’t dare walk on those…one model almost fell.

*sigh* It must be great to be a model wearing all those cool clothes and getting glammed up all the time.

I wish though that I was able to watch the shows on Fashion Week. Oh well there is still next year. I will certainly make sure I mark my calendar for next year and buy my tickets early.
