It’s only a few more days before Mother’s Day, and if you’re still racking your brains out, trying to think of a special gift to give your mom, well, you’re not alone. The reason we find it extremely difficult to find our mom a gift, is that we want it to be memorable, and we want her to like it. Each mom is different, so we should try to find our mother a gift which will suit her personality.

If your mom is the type who enjoys being pampered, you could get her gift certificates to a spa or a swanky salon. Even an at-home massage would be good. If she is the sentimental type, you could get her a necklace with her birthstone, or maybe you can get her a personalized bracelet. Feed the fashionista mom by getting her a timepiece from a line of Casio watches or Baby G Watches. If she loves gardening, you can get her plants and nice flower pots.Whatever you decide to give your mom on Mother’s Day, don’t forget to throw in a hug and kiss to let her know that she really is special to you, and that you appreciate all that she has done for you.

Chris is one of my good friends who has been a big part of my support group while I was pregnant and up to now. I am so happy I have met her through our friend Pehpot. Today is her special day and I wish her more blessings the coming years.

In a few weeks time our lives will change. I am kind of freaking out because I am afraid I won’t know how to take care of my baby. People tell me that it will come out naturally, when the baby is there I would know what to do. I sure hope that that is the same for me.

I am worried that Sean might get sick and we won’t find a doctor or a clinic ( like allergy treatment austin ) where he can be helped. Where we are living now is kind of far from everything. Maybe I am worrying too much heh?

Okay I will really really try my best now to just think happy thoughts….

It seems like forever since I last posted here. I haven’t have much energy to do anything the last couple of weeks, maybe it would change as I enter the 2nd trimester and that would be in a month. I do take vitamins but I don’t know…I just don’t feel like doing anything.

Maybe it’s the weather… it has been so hot lately, I feel so uneasy. Especially at night, even if our fan is on I still sweat like crazy. I don’t know if it this extra sweating have something to do with the pregnancy hormones.

Were you also this hot, when you were pregnant?

I grew up in Manila and like many big cities, there are a lot of bad elements or in other words bad people around. When I was commuting from home to school and work, there were times that I couldn’t get home before dark and a pepper spray is what makes me feel safe when walking the dark streets.

I don’t have the pepperspray  anymore so I went online to look for one and came across this pink colored pepper spray, I like it. And the great thing is that the manufacturer of this cute pink self defense item, donates a portion (about .50 cents each) of the proceeds to the Nation Breast Cancer Foundation every quarter.

They say that hair is the crowning glory of us ladies. Well if that’s the case then that means my best friend should not be diamonds. It should be the ceramic hair straightener. I remember back in my college days that every salon has it. Everyone grows there hair long enough to reach their backs so they can use it on their. In many local pageants, mastery of holding the iron is a must. Everyone considers the ceramic hair straightener as a holy weapon in bagging the title.

I loved watching beauty pageants. In fact I have joined several of them myself when I was a little girl. I didn’t always win though. Anyway I think pageants are fun but I’d rather just watch them now than join it myself.

My brother once told me about a pageant contestant that won as a runner up in their school pageant. I’ll tell you what talent she used to charm the crowd. She ate a live chicken. Yes you got it. She was an Amazon lady in the talent portion. Everyone was so surprise when she stepped on the stage and delivers the dialogs. It’s quite a talent to bag the title. Never the less, it’s the only unique talent they have seen and awarded her best talent.

Summer in our part of the world is fast approaching! And what better way to have something to look forward to than planning your wardrobe for frequently going out to enjoy the summer sun? It’s part of the fun of being a girl. Most boys (or men) couldn’t care less about how they look unless they are metro-sexual , but for us girls it’s a different thing. That’s why the perfect summer get-ups must be planned as early as now. Knowing the trends will help a lot, and the trends says it’s going to be hot pants, boy shorts and uber long socks.

Bohemian is also back in vogue, so you better start digging up those paisleys and chic accessories for your summer dress. Kitten heels seem to be making a come back, but with fun makeovers as seen in fashion shows. Summer equals the beach for many people, so planning our swimsuit is a must, as well. Monokinis are all the rage right now, but not everyone has the guts to wear them. And certainly not everyone has the body for a monokini. There’s still the one-shouldered bikinis, though. Not too flashy but is chic and trendy just the same. So plan that summer escapade now with family and friends. Your fab outfits are raring to go!

I have this group of ladies in mind (yes, the Marce club) that I want to go out with even just for a night. I know this is not possible right now, as the members live in different parts of the world (me in Singapore, Seiko in Japan, Gene in Thailand, Kikamz in Germany, Liz in the US, and six of the other girls are in the Philippines. I will soon be moving to the Philippines, so that makes seven of us there. I can make do with just the seven of us, but I know that it will be so much more exciting to see them all in the flesh at least once.

I wonder what we will talk about then. Our blogs, most probably. Haha. Our families. Our mutual love of food. Our secrets that we only talk about over instant messenger. Maybe share fashion tips, even evening fashion tips for such nights out as the one I have in mind. Just thinking about it make me dreamy with anticipation. I have never found such a lovely bunch of ladies as the Marce club, and needless to say that I am looking forward to the day (or night) that we’ll all get together and just hang out.

After coming back from my trip in the Philippines last August, I got to know this cute blogger Fedhz with our daily chats. Ever since – we have been constantly chit chatting about everything and anything…as months passed we have become really good friends, I get her and she gets me.
