Our cashew plantation is looking good. Our plants are growing well and some trees are already bearing some fruit. I think next year we will be in business and hopefully we can become one of the top supplier of cashew nuts in the Philippines in the future.

This is how cashew fruits and nuts look like when it’s ready to be harvested.

Cashew nuts are very popular snack but there are many uses for cashew like the cashew apple (fruit) when mashed can be turned into wine. And the young leaves can be used in salads as well.

I am sure it would be lots of fun to experiment I’ll keep you posted.

Paper and Pencils for a Cause Project Update

With the help of my family and blogger friends, we were able to make the students of Estrella Village Elementary School happy by giving them a surprise.

Every student received a bag with 2 pencils/pen, an eraser and a sharpener.

hopefully we can give them some papers by June.

If your child is approaching driving age, you might be concerned about allowing them to drive before they are ready. Your child is most likely itching to get behind the wheel on their birthday, but is it worth it? There are certainly pros and cons to making your child to wait driving little longer. Emotional Maturity

Teenagers aren’t the most stable group mentally. They are more likely to take risks and make poor decisions when on the road. This can lead to more expenses in car repairs and insurance costs. If your teen is not showing that he can respect the road and understand that driving is a privilege and not a right, it could be good to make them wait.

Insurance

Are you willing to put your child on your insurance policy? Teen drivers are often the most expensive to insure, because they are the highest risk group of getting into an accident. You will be responsible for your child’s traffic mistakes and insurance claims. Oh my goodness, can you believe September is almost over ? With a very active baby, time surely goes by so fast. Sean is 9 months now, in case you haven’t seen my update over at Momma Finally. He also already got 2 teeth and has been cranky lately but not not as grumpy as when he got his first tooth.

Ahh so many milestones!! Sometimes I wish I can capture every second of his life but that’s just impossible!

He loves playing with my mobile phone and when he sees my laptop he won’t stop until he’s able to tap the keyboard. I am sure he will be as techy like us when he grows up…next thing you know he’d be asking us for a black berry tablet

Mother Earth’s Tantrums

Mother Earth must be really hurt by all the years of constant abuse that climate changes have now become so erratic and disasters beset us all around the globe.It really seems much like when a child throws a tantrum, screaming and hurling objects in random, unceasingly and unstoppable.
Nations have amplified security measures and emergency procedures are always kept up-to-date. Though we are somewhat reassured by the safety measures in place, we are always fearful that we ourselves might need medical air evacuation or other emergency response.

To lessen our anxiety, let us make an effort to be well-informed of emergency procedures and our local area’s protocol for calamities. Also, let us do our part to appease Mother Earth by not contributing to the pollutants that have now swathed our green world.
