Hey all! It’s back to city life for me. I still haven’t had enough of our vacation. I love being in our farm, there’s a lot of things I want to implement there but with so little time I need to start delegating it.
Good thing that my brother-in-law who is currently living there volunteered to implement some of the things we want to be done. We wanted to have an organic farm set up and he had started with his own. With his initiative, all our other workers are also now encouraged to start their own vegetable garden.

While we were there, we ate organic vegetables harvested from our farm. Funny story I heard from my husband, a colleague of him was asking about his vacation. He mentioned that organic foods are becoming popular in the Philippines. A female colleague said to him “They cannot afford organic, it’s too expensive.” Some people are so ignorant … i think she doesn’t even know what she’s talking about. My hubby couldn’t help asking “Do you know what organic is?” She said: “Yeah, expensive stuff”.
Organic food are grown under natural conditions meaning without using of inorganic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides; and either not processed, or processed without the use of additives.

I have gained 2 kilos in one week because my B-I-L’s girlfriend has been feeding us like crazy, she is crazy about cooking. I am not worrying about the extra weight though. No thinking about losing weight or diet pill because for all I know I might be pregnant. Better be safe than sorry, right?

HiJade,
Organic = Expensive – I love it! How ironic.
I’m sure you’ll be back there before long you are so lucky to have the opppotunityh to visit places like this, millions of people aren’t and do pay more for organic food which actuallyisn’t really organic!!
Take care

Wow, the garden looks so nice. I miss the farm life. Only if I can persuade my DH to moving in Pinas. We can have veggies all year. Welcome back, PJ.

Organic need not be expensive…. start in your own backyard just like you did. It’s a good thing that a lot of people here in the Philippines are beginning to be health conscious and are paying attention on what they eat. :0
