The Young and Forgetful

by Jade on April 24, 2009

Ulyanin is what they would call me in the Philippines. It means forgetful. I don’t really know why I am so forgetful at a very young age. The thing is that I want to do so many things but then I forget to do the most important ones …. hmmm not very good huh? Or maybe I should not put too many things on my plate…

I haven’t forgotten to breathe yet so I am still okay for now but I might need to do something about this before it worsens.

If I was a computer, I would definitely need some system memory upgrade …but since I am human ( the last time I checked) I am thinking of taking Gingko Bilbao instead.

Gingko Bilbao is said to improve one’s memory. How about you, are you taking any extra health supplement and what is it for?

Whatever it is make sure you don’t overdo it.

Oh by the way my $100 plus other Fab prizes Birthday Contest will be ending next Thursday- April 30. Hurry you still have a few days to join. You only need to do one of the steps and you are entered but ofcourse if you want to increase your chances of winning you could do more.

Just so you know, you are not alone, being young and forgetful..well, I am 38 so I cannot consider myself as young, but when I was your age, hahaha! I was already forgetful..Wahhh, It is so frustrating when I can’t find what I am looking for. Or, I would go to the store for laundry detergent, and I come home with a cart full of stuff, only to find out I forgot my detergent, double wahhh!!

Have a greatday!

Young or old, we can get pretty forgetful. Sometimes I wonder if forgetfulness is really something we can associate with age. I have always heard people saying, “I’m getting more forgetful … getting old already.” Somehow, I am not comfortable at time hearing that because of stereotyping. If we believe a thing a few times, we will take it as a truth; which may not always be the case. So we may subconsciously induce our minds to believe that way – old age equates to forgetfulness. And when we believe, we will unconsciously cultivate forgetful habits.

I believe that forgetfulness is something that happens to all, young or old, and it depends on whether we put in the effort to remember something.

@ BK – Very well said. That’s true if we say something so many times…it will become more and more a reality. Thanks for reminding me that.

Ever since I had the kids, I seem to forget everything, too. These days I must make a list and write everything down on it in order to get it done.

hi i dont know how old yu are but i am only 20 and I seem to forget all the important stuff. I have a daughter and i will for get to put in her ear plugs or forget her juice when we go out. her vitamins not to mention mine along with my meds for my one issues.I really do not want to forget these important things but now my mother in law and my childs father think that I just doint care. when I told him that I really am so forgetful and maybe might need to start a supplemnet he told me to grow up and take responsibility for what I am doing. but its not my fault that i forget all the time. with everything! grrr its very embarassing and hurtful to have someone think about me like that. its nice to know i am not alone. do you think that i am too young to have these issues this much at this age???

Forgetful Lucy December 30, 2010 at 12:21 pm

Then i will just remember when Im home. As a result I always shoulder the penalty.. ahhh so bad.. what am i gonna do???
