Blogging from the farm

Hey girls and boys!

I cannot believe I am actually blogging from the farm. I have asked my cousin to buy me a prepaid broadband internet thingy to try out here in the farm. And good news  it does work here, it’s a  little bit slow but it works. Much better than nothing or going to the internet cafe in  town. The cost, I guess pretty much like in Manila Php 5 per 15 minutes or Php20 per hour.

So how am we doing here? I am having a really great time! There’s a lot of development going on here. We now have electricity here so we do have cold drinks all the time. And as you know, the guesthouse is already finished – and we are staying there at the moment. I have also planted lots of plowers and plants there together with my caretakers. Market day – I bought some bamboo furniture for the guesthouse.

The bodega for our house is being built. The workers are alright, they are doing a pretty good job. Christmas is around the corner, we have about 16 chicken to roast and one small pig. Raising chicken for own use was a very good idea as it is tasty but as for the pig – it is very expensive to raise one for eating.
