Speaking My Language

by Jade on June 9, 2010

In  a few days, we will be moving to the Philippines for good, I can now say goodbye to translation services because I’ll be free to speak my native tongue again to everyone I meet, since they too, will be doing the same. I’ve missed freely speaking it because of our geographical locations for the past years, and boy would it be a huge relief to finally be able to actually speak it on a daily basis. I only get to practice it when I’m speaking with my Filipino friends online and offline, and on the phone with my family.

Although it’s been fun learning new languages, it’s a good feeling when you are speaking your native language. Of course, this won’t mean I’ll stop trying to learn new languages. French is first on my list, so a service de traduction might be called for in the future. But I guess the professional translation services business will have one less potential client for now.
